This shows lots of concentration on the nose from the outset with notes of plum liqueur and tar, but there's also a fresher background of blackcurrants, creme de cassis and lots of well-integrated vanilla spices. Full body, juicy, lithe tannins, driven acidity and a medium-chewy finish. -J.S.
