"The 2020 Reserva is mostly a field blend from old vines (40 to 60 years old), with 20% Touriga Nacional. It was all aged in new French oak for 12 months and comes in at 14.3% alcohol. Focused, precise and rather powerful, this is also perfectly balanced and built to age. At this young age, this is not quite as expressive as it can and will be. A couple of years in the cellar may change that. This shows reasonable depth, but it is never jammy or clumsy. This is very fine in a tough year for a lot of people, but the winery said these vines were from higher ground."
