"The Virna 2020 Barolo Noi shows a classic Nebbiolo nose with dried redcurrant, dusty licorice, bitter chocolate and candied orange peel studded with cloves. The tight tannin component, over the wine's mid-weight texture, wants a fatty food like a marbled steak. Fruit comes from Perno, Castagni, Berri, Boiolo, San Giovanni, Sottocastello di Novello and Cerviano-Merli." - Robert Parker
